i wonder when...

In his 2005 Stanford Commencement Speech, Steve Jobs said:

"If you live each day as if it were your last, some day you are certainly gonna be right. For the past 33 years, I have looked into the mirror and asked myself: Would I want to do what I am going to do today if it was the last day of my life? Whenever the answer has been 'no', I know that I need to change."

In Stanford's 2008 Commencement Speech, Oprah Winfrey said:

"I have been maintaining journals since I was 15."

Both the above speakers are veterans in their respective fields but the two fields are not even remotely connected. Nevertheless, one remarkably significant word that places them a notch above their competitiors is INTROSPECTION. The regularity and the dedication with which we refine our soul and our deeds determines what lies ahead for us. Yes. When every night you go to bed and think what productive work you did throughout the day, the answer most of the times is 'negligible'. Introspection is what helps an individual to move from 'negligible' to ''significant'.

Outside the Akshardham temple in Ahmedabad is a statue depicting a man with a hammer and a chaini in his hand. No. He is not a daily wage earner who is on a construction site. I, unlike most of us, he is Mr. Introspective. He is trying to do away with the impurities that have shackled his life. He is trying to break free. He is trying to find his true and deserving self.

I have been trying to emulate such people since eternity now but I have been unsuccessful for extravagent reasons. Introspection is pricelss, both literally and metaphorically, and yet, I ahven't been able to get hold of it. It's all the more important because it undoubtedly helps one to become a human being from a man. Although it may not necessarily lead an individual to fame, it would definitely him to greatness. Because greatness doesn't require any name. All it requires is the will to serve and the will to serve selflessly.

The wanderer thinks when would that moment come for him...When would he be able to lend a helping hand to dying soul....When would he be able to wipe away tears of those helpless children and make them realize what childhood is...I WONDER WHEN
